| - User pages are a distinctive feature of the runescape wiki (or indeed of every wiki). Many user pages contain interesting information. The Vimescarrot user page is a great example. Particularly the part of the Tzhaar translations is both informative and entertaining. The main reason to advertize a user page on the front page is to drive home this unique aspect of the wiki. Really? I'm honoured. I'm never normally particularly involved in Featured Articles and suchlike. But you have my blessing to do with my userpage as you will... It'd be strange for new people to come to the Wiki looking for RuneScape stuff and instead see an article about Vimescarrot. No offense or anything. No other fan site has such a concept. If there is another way to draw attention to this unique selling point, it would have my strong support. Yes, the user pages may be a "selling" point of the wiki, but making this featured when it can change so much probably isn't a good idea (also, the owner of a user page should have full control over it). Having an article featured increases the number of eyeballs that see it, and some of those will improve that and related articles. It is true that Wikis are unique, but it should have something related to RuneScape. If new users saw this, they would think this is some kind of blog site for RuneScpae, which it isn't. We shouldn't feature a user page when we have so many great guides that have never been featured. While I do appreciate the unique quality of the Wiki: that all contributors has their own pages to represent themselves and their own talk pages to discuss matters important to them, I don't think that user pages should be our main feature. I do believe it would be a good idea to display one of the best user pages we could find in order to encourage readers to join the wiki. This user page should be excellently put together, with cool user boxes and templates, showing off everything that this Wiki has to offer. We do have a unique editing and processing system that is copyrighted by Wikipedia.org and the Wikimedia Foundation. Let's display our best user page and show readers why this Wiki is the best RuneScape guide site. By the way, my user page definitely doesn't qualify. Anyone have a great user page or know someone who does? It can't have any templates like 'noob hater' or something similar. I shall admit that his page is truely a masterpiece although I don't think it can be called officialy page of the month.
