Nakamura-sensei is one of the few who remain of the Jade Empire's nameless but profound Force tradition. Nakamura-sensei developed and honed his limited Force abilities as a part of his swordsmanship, a discipline he has followed since childhood. Though his focus lies on such skills as naturally developed in that context - improved speed, stamina, dexterity and strength - he is conversant in simple but profound versions of telepathy, telekinesis and healing. This has been the natural progression of those who have followed his path throughout the Jade Worlds' four-thousand-year history: Jadeworlder Forcers have nearly always developed their connection to the Force in the context of blademastery or of art, as with the Gesaril carvers - one reason they were invited to the Convocation on Dieron . He is the 'living library' of Patriot Force techniques; for example, when Kalo-Kaa returned from the Sojourn expedition, Nakamura-sensei was the first to learn hassat-durr and ayna-seff. His focus, however, remains on bladework. Together with the Empress, he developed Outside Path, which relies heavily on acrobatics and the manipulation of the wind. Nevertheless, when fighting he far prefers the strong and rooted style of his father, whose near-indestructible Bloodliner blades he carries. Nakamura-sensei is a Sai'mrai Honour Blade, an apex swordsman entrusted symbolically with the honour and culture of the people of the Jade Worlds. After the Uul'ba-Rai Jihad, he is one of the oldest and most senior remaining.
