Hurricane Erika was the fourth-costliest Atlantic hurricane on record. The strongest storm of the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season, Erika made landfall in the Deep South as a Category 3 hurricane. The storm was also known for devastating Dominica before reaching the Gulf of Mexico and strengthening into a major category 4 hurricane.
