The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency ("FFA") began in July 1979. Its primary aim is the permanent management of Pacific tuna resources for the sustained economic benefit of the Forum's 16 member countries and one member territory. The organisation provides advice and services to its members. Headquarters are at Honiara, in the Solomon Islands.
