Being a fan game, Sonic Clash borrows music from other games, developed by companies involved in creating the game. As the game is a joint effort between SEGA and Konami, in association with Nintendo, Banpresto, Bandai Namco Games and Square-Enix, this game uses music from games such as: Final Fantasy, Star Fox, Castlevania and Super Robot Wars. Majority of the songs are from Sonic titles, though. The soundtrack spans 4 discs.

The game's opening and ending theme is "Sonic Drive", the song used for the opening sequence of the Japanese version of anime Sonic X. The short version that opens every Japanese episode of Sonic X plays during the intro, while the full version plays during the ending credits.
