Hind's blood is one of the few things that could kill a god. It can be obtained from a Golden Hind. It is usually used to coat weapons that can then be used to kill gods, most traditionally a dagger. The weapons in question retain their god-killing properties long after the application of the blood; one dagger handled by Hercules could still kill gods even after being used and then encased in stone. The god-killing properties of the blood resulted in Zeus destroying all of the Golden Hinds, in spite of their peaceful nature.("Encounter", "The End of the Beginning")

Stregna failed and Hercules destroyed the arrow to prevent its attempted use again ("Herc's Nemesis"). Xena II kept a supply of Hind's blood in a pendant she wore. She was somehow able to use it to poison Zeus II. ("Stranger in a Strange World") The pendant eventually made its way back to the mainstream reality, where it was used to create a "Hind's Blood Dagger" that played a major role in the lives of Hercules and Xena. Callisto used hind's blood on her dagger to kill Strife at the Halls of War near Corinth. Callisto herself was killed with a Hind's blood dagger by Xena.
