- Trigun, originally a manga by Yasuhiro Nightow, is well-known as an anime series directed by Satoshi Nishimura. The show follows the adventures of Vash the Stampede as witnessed by two insurance workers, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who follow him around in an attempt to minimize the damage he causes (mostly by accident) wherever he goes.
- The manga was serialized in Tokuma Shoten's Shōnen Captain from the series debut in 1996 until the magazine's demise in 1997. The series continued in Shōnen Gahosha's Young King Ours magazine, under the title Trigun Maximum (トライガンマキシマム), where it remained until finishing in 2008. An animated feature film was released in April 2010.
