The Parade Company (America's Thanksgiving Parade) is an annual parade in Detroit, Michigan. In 2005, an Elmo walk-around appeared in the parade, riding The Great Paradeland Circus train engine float. A balloon of Elmo with a Santa hat and outspread arms has appeared in the parade in 2007, 2008, and 2009. (In 2009, the balloon was sponsored by Hoover, and accompanied by dancers choreographed by Cheryl Burke.) In 2011, there was a Sesame Street float, which included Big Bird with a palette and art brush.
