| - A young man with violet eyes and white hair shivered as he felt a strange being moving about in the sky above. Glancing upward, all he could do was un-characteristicly panic. There was a garganta opening above him and a strange young female walked out. If that wasn't odd enough, he could feel another presence nearby. He glanced at the school and saw a young man standing on nothing but what he could assume was the air. He decided to move to the school rather than chase the woman about. Fighting Hollows was his sister's job, and she actually got paid for it, so he decided to deal with the less common threat. How is he...? Ah, I'll learn eventually. he mentally prepared himself for anything that was to come as he walked over to the building. Akahara looked at the woman who had vanished. "What the?" He asked himself sensing that there was someone on the ground below; floating down the air around him was displaced and he gracefully touched the ground in front of his school. "Okay, which to do, handle this other spiritual energy source? or follow that hollow girl," He thought as he opened his eyes to see a young man. "Who are you?" "That's for me to know, and you to figure out. First, you should answer my questions. I promise to return the favor after. Who are you, and how were you floating?" Hazuremaru replied. He was going to use the fact his sister left him in charge of the area, effectively making him a temporary member of the Private Spirit Detective Agency, at least until she returned, to intimidate the other man, but reasoned that since he probably didn't know what that meant, he wouldn't care. "I am Akahara Tokomine, and my power Kami no Kaze allows me to control the air around me." He said as he gave a small demonstration by whipping the air around him with a simple wave of his hand. "Then I will answer you as promised. I am Hazuremaru Sorei. Like you, I'm just a human, so don't think I'm here to do anything ouside that scope." he replied. With a small motion, he created a small orb of fire. "My power, Múspellsheimr, gives me power over fire." he added extinguishing the flame. Looking the newcomer up and down, he analyzed his spiritual energy and determined that he had some considerable power so choosing to test his mettle Akahara attacked using a mix of his speed and air sword to mount an opening strike. Hazuremaru didn't have time to think about what was happening. Out of instinct, he blocked the wind blade with his right arm, which was covered in flame. He made a mental note to thank Shiro when she came back from whatever mission she was on. "So, Ahahara, is this how you greet people? Try to slice them? Fine, I'll play your game." he said, waving his free arm around and creating multiple of the firey spheres, his Surt technique. The round objects begain the floating slowly to their target as they appeared. "Its AKAhara, AKA!" He said as his feet gave off a golden spark as he pushed away from him, placing some distance between them. "I like to fight strong opponents," He explained as he whipped the air in front of him creating a small invisible vacuum. "Kūhaku," He said calmly. Hazuremaru dropped to his knees, the breath in his lungs already failing him. This...probably won't end well for either of us... he thought to himself. He watched as the entire Surt barrage was being snuffed out when they got too close. Rather than wait and see if it were possible, he clicked his left forefinger against his thumb, the action sparking his second technique, Gjoll. The flames roared to life and as they traveled along whatever pathway guided them, he moved his hand, causing the flame to slowly curve around the space where he thought the lack of air was at. Not wasting any movement, he turned his hand again, causing the flame to again head to Akahara, this time, from the side. Having his concentration broken the Kūhaku ended and the air rushed back to the void. Picking himself from the ground, his coat slightly burned. When he stood up his blue eyes pierced the space between the combatants. "Muchiuchishō!" He said as he created another air blade and then swung it releasing spinning razor winds flying towards Haze. Haze let the air razor wound him, cutting his sleeve to ribbons, and causing his arm to bleed profusely. Under normal conditions, it would probably be questioned as to why he wanted to undergo the pain, but his next move would have silenced such pondering. Letting the blood run down his arm and into his other palm, he stood up and looked thoughtful. "Did you know that Múspellsheimr was actually the second area created in the beginning? I don't feel right not making mention of the first, Niflheim." he said, freezing the blood and turning the collected pool into a short sword. Once the blade was done, he moved in close and tried to attack at point blank, analyzing Akahara's primary means of combat was ranged, this seemed logical. Shocked by the twist of Ice, Akahara jumped into the air, using his power and speed to gain height and distance. "No way," He said as he kept his distance, but right before his initial jump he was cut on the leg. "Niflheim and Múspellsheimr. I can use both. They both revolve around heat, in a physical sense. So, it's not much of a stretch, is it?" Haze asked, backstepping so if he ran in, he could have a second longer to gain speed. "What's the matter? Afraid to get close?" "I don't wanna get my hands dirty with your blood," Akahara said smugly as he released more razors out with his wind blade. Haze could barely see the blades, but he could hear them. That alone wasn't enough. The hem of his coat was torn apart on both sides. "Guess what? I cut you with my blood. What's the difference?" he asked, again moving his free arm to create Surt. "Well done. You've forced me to use both at the same time. I think congratulations are in order." he said jokingly as the fireballs homed in on Akahara. Dissipating the sword, Akahara created a vacuum barrier to attempt to block and nullify the Fireballs. As they got close, some were nullified but other hit his barrier and exploded as he was sent down to the roof below. "Damn, lost my concentration," He said as he picked himself up, his arm burned abit. Haze stood on the ground, looking upward. "You still alive up there?" he asked, lamenting his lack of levitation. That was the one power he wished he could go back in time and ask Shiro for, if anything. "Yeah, I'm alive," He called down as he jumped off the roof, diving at high speeds towards Haze. As he got close he reoriented his body and dilivered a high powered kick to Haze's side. "Namikaze Keri!" He called out as he swung a whirlwind powered kick. Haze dropped his ice sword as the powerful kick slammed into him. The force of the blow knocked the wind out of him as he lost his footing and sent him into the ground. Damnit. That was a good hit. he thought, unable to speak until he caught his breath. Not only did the kick knock him around a bit, the wind sliced his side enough to draw blood. As the red liquid slowly ran out of him, he was able to catch his breath and slowly, painfully stand. "That was a risky move. If you missed me, I would have had enough time to counter you in a big way." "That is the first time I've done that technique in that manner," Akahara explained as he was now pumped up. Looking at Haze he hoped up and down hyper and disrupting the air currents around his body. Haze smirked quickly, before clutching his torn side. The damage was minor, but the cut was too clean for it to be average. "Don't get cocky." he said before revealing Fenrir. The ice claws formed in the gaps between his fingers. Wasting no time, he ran in close, swinging his left arm, the only one still not completely damaged, in wide arcs. Getting cut as he tried to avoide the strikes, Akahara kicked when he could using Namikaze Keri to try to harm his opponent. "I need an opening." Haze didn't expect the kick so as it neared him, he could only block with his ice covered hand, the claws shattering from the impact. He dropped to one knee before rising again to grab Akahara's leg. Once he had the young man in his grasp, he threw him to the side, or at least tried to take advantage of his off balance state, before re-creating Fenrir. He checked his hand and discovered that the wind-covering his opponent was using had done a number to his flesh. Taking no chances for a counter, he moved in for what would be the final blow, if it landed. The claws were raised high, and once he neared Akahara, they were brought down in a forceful punch-like attack. Akahara flinched as he used his leg on the ground to spin his body to free himself, releasing a large amount of wind energy as he spun away. "That was close," He said scared abit. Haze was hit with the spining kick and wind energy, and was blown about at a result. He was on the ground, panting. Having used Fenrir and Surt twice each along with Loki and Gijoll did a number on his spiritual energy levels. As he focused a bit, he was able to get back up. "C'mon. Don't expect this to be done yet." he said with a slight laugh. He knew it was over. He barely had enough energy left for another round of Surt, his deadliest move. The only reason he was able to use it twice was, compared to the other techniques he had, it had the least cost for it's power. Panting he noticed that he lost the wind around his body. "I am now out of power...." He said as he tried to force himself to keep fighting. "You too huh?" Haze asked, noticing the altered wind currents were gone and the breeze blew the way it had before. "Unless I'm wrong on this, if we keep going, we're both gonna die. Isn't that what happens when you over-do it with spirit energy?" "Lets call this a draw, friend," He said calmly. "I like that, friend." Haze replied with an exhausted sigh. Three years of having his powers just didn't bode well for intense combat situations. It felt like every part of his body was screaming from the drain on his energy.
