John "Jock" Harty (born 1874 in Kingston, Ontario - died February 23, 1919, in London, England) was a Canadian ice hockey player who played for and coached the Queen's Golden Gaels. He first played hockey in Montreal in the 1890's with the Loyola College team. Harty then returned to his hometown to play for Queen's University. He was a big part of the Ontario Hockey Association championship team in 1896. He retired in 1897. Harty was later a coach of Queen's, and was the coach when the team won the first Allan Cup in 1909. The Jock Harty Arena was named after him.
