Aedos (or Aidos) was the daimon or goddess of modesty, respect, and reverence. She was a daughter of Prometheus, the Titan of forethought and crafty council. She was a companion of the retribution goddess, Nemesis. Aidos was also the feeling of shame which stopped men from wrong-doing.
