- The creature began to instill fear Amy by appearing in her dreams, constantly subjecting her to nightmares about Johnny spring out from his grave. One morning, the creature burst into Amy's room as Johnny, pretending it cared about her screaming. After a little persuasion, the creature was able to convince Amy that Johnny had never died and she had just had a bad dream. However, its mask slipped a little as one of his eyes momentarily turned red, something that didn't escape Amy's attention. "Johnny" comforted Amy but, when her back was turned, the creature cast away most of its disguise, now resembling a Johnny badly beaten and scarred from battle. From out of nowhere, the creature summoned a scythe and attacked Amy, narrowly missing the girl but tearing her jacket.

The Nightmare Creature pursued Amy back to the Control Centre, quietly sneaking in while she was searching for her crossbow. It turned out to be too fast for her, diving from one room to another, taking her with it. Pinning her to the ground, it revealed that it fed off her nightmares and was about to kill her, but Amy was able to resist and threw it off her. The creature refused to give in, using his scythe to push an escaping Amy out of the window. Somehow, it then appeared back in front of Johnny's grave, where Amy had run to. The creature showed its invulnerabilty, laughing as crossbow bolts simply passed through it and into the gravestone. However, Amy realised that the Nightmare Creature only existed if she was scared and she was no longer scared. Realising it was defeated, the creature bowed to his prey, before taunting her that he'll be back later for a snack.
