BrightSide is a Greek indie rock band formed in 2010 in Thessaloniki. The band consists of Konstantinos Skarlatos (lead vocals, guitar), Nestoras Bananis (lead guitar), Miles Lappas (drums and percussion) and Thanos Karapantsios (bass). Konstantinos, Nestoras and Miles grouped together at the autumn of 2009, bringing relief to their perennial crave for something genuinely independent. They started a band which first performed unplugged on Up'n'Loud web radio station as special guests of 'Goodluck Mr. Crosby' on the 10th of February 2010. Later, in the spring of that year, the puzzle was put together with the addition of Pete Sun as a bass player. On the 6th of December 2010, the members of the band supported the initiative of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 'A Student Concert In Memo

On the 6th of December 2010, the members of the band supported the initiative of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 'A Student Concert In Memory of Alexis'. The concert was a memorial to Alexis, an innocent teenage victim of a police officer in 2008. On the 8th of February 2011, BrightSide played at Mylos Club staging for Cyanna. On the 1st of October 2011, BrightSide appeared in "Cross My Art #3 Festival" held by contACT art club at GaiAlive with Andreas Charatzidis as bass player. On November of 2011, Thanos Karapantsios joined the band as a bass player. On January 0f 2012, BrightSide released their first demo entitled “Puzzle (demo)”. It includes two tracks: “Puzzle” and “Nude Celebrity”. On January of 2012, BrightSide came up with the idea of creating a festival for indie bands of Thessaloniki. This idea gave birth to #if (Indie Fest) which was held with complete success at GaiAlive. BrightSide are now working on new material which will soon be released on their first EP.
