Frederick II of Prussia (24 January 1712 – 17 August 1786), also known by the nickname of Frederick The Great, was a European King. He was a great tactical genius and lead Prussia to victory in many battles of the 18th century. Frederick once said that "he who tries to defend everything, defends nothing". Captain Benjamin Sisko noted Frederick's quote in a Captain's log he narrated on stardate 51145.3, saying that he hoped he would be able to force the Dominion to do just that. - Frederick II, in German Friedrich II (24 January 1712 – 17 August 1786), was a King of Prussia (1740–1786) from the Hohenzollern dynasty. He became known as Frederick the Great due to his (largely successful) efforts both politically and militarily to make Prussia into a formidable power in Europe. He led his kingdom through the Seven Years' War against France, Austria, and Russia. During the 20th century, the Nazis made him one of their symbols, damaging his legacy in the years since World War II.
