Some new features were added to Wikia today: see wikia:Forum:New Features, 23 Feb 2007. The one I suspect most of you will have the most fun with is Special:Editcount, which doesn't just give a user's edit count on Wookieepedia, but breaks it down by namespace.

  • Some new features were added to Wikia today: see wikia:Forum:New Features, 23 Feb 2007. The one I suspect most of you will have the most fun with is Special:Editcount, which doesn't just give a user's edit count on Wookieepedia, but breaks it down by namespace. An old special page, Special:Listusers is now slightly different. Rather than include every single username ever registered on wikia, it lists all users who have actually edited Wookieepedia. Sannse says more features will be added to it soon: right now, it seems to duplicate the info in Special:Activeusers. —Silly Dan (talk) 19:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC) * The edit counter confuses commas with decimal points, so if anyone is wondering why their edit percentages are ridiculously low, that's why. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. -- Ozzel 20:39, 23 February 2007 (UTC) * Yep, that one is being worked on. It seems it should be reasonably straight forward. However the new listuser has had to be turned off for a while, it needs more testing on the performance side -- Sannse 12:15, 26 February 2007 (UTC) * Yes, it works for IE! Chack Jadson 12:54, 26 February 2007 (UTC) * Also, if you dismiss the Site Notice, it will come back as long as we remember to increment the ID number. And we still have the old-style edit counter and will keep it around until the new one has all the same features. Even though it still doesn't work on MSIE. * And since this is a "new features" thread, and I'm going to put it in the sitenotice shortly, I'd like to point out some new templates and categories I just created. They'll be useful to our more prolific image uploaders. When you upload a new version over an existing image, place on the image description to let the admins know there are old revisions to delete. When you upload a new version of an image under a different filename, add to the old file's description. This will help us with managing our ever-growing library of fair-use files. * This feature is semi-new: We strongly encourage the use of the template as listed on the upload page. * Finally, this isn't a new feature, but don't forget the ongoing drive to keep unused images from hanging around. Wookieepedia is not a hosting service, and if an image isn't being used to illustrate an article or convey an idea then it's not really fair use. The WookieeProject:Images gallery of unused images is cleared and updated weekly. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 14:07, 26 February 2007 (UTC) * Ooh, {{Imr}} will come in handy. -- Ozzel 21:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
