He was the son of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz, who co-wrote the 1941 classic Citizen Kane with director Orson Welles, and won a shared Academy Award for the film. Robert Wise was the editor of Citizen Kane. Mankiewicz died of congestive heart failure at his home in Monrovia, California, on 25 April 2015. He was 93. [1]
