Charmont Palace, or simply Charmont, is the official residence of the Emperor of Vanivere and of the Vaniveran Imperial Family. Originally known as Charmont-Bonneau Castle and residence of the Bonneau family on their family estate, Charmont evolved from a large manor house into a grand palace fit for royalty. Over time, the Bonneau family sold the southern side of the River Aurore to settlers and workers in the household. This section of the estate became the city of Paris-Nouvelle. But as the city grew, the citizens of Paris-Nouvelle renamed the city Ville Charmont after the Bonneau family's home across the river.

| - Charmont Palace, or simply Charmont, is the official residence of the Emperor of Vanivere and of the Vaniveran Imperial Family. Upon Vanivere's independence from the European Federation and the subsequent creation of the Grand Kingdom of Vanivere, the Vaniveran capital was moved from Fort-de-Matignon to Ville Charmont. The city was renamed Châtillon in honor of the former Charmont-Bonneau Castle lost in the War for Independence. With the Bonneau family's surname change in 2391 upon their elevation as the first Vaniveran Royal Family, the new House of Oléron rebuilt their former home on its original site in the new capital. Redesigning their residence, the completed Charmont Palace was indeed worthy to be called the first royal residence of Vanivere. On February 17, 2492, Charmont remained the official residence of the new House of Oléron-Vendôme upon its elevation to the position as Imperial Family of Vanivere. Since its construction, Charmont Palace has undergone only minor changes, with only the Grand Ballroom receiving major remodeling.
