Since their previous defeat in the Clone Wars in 22 BBY on Endor, the Republic was ready to try again in 20 BBY. Now, convinced about the forces of the Republic are now stronger and ripping throughout Separatist lines, the Ewoks finally began to rebel against their Separatist masters. The Republic, hearing of this, sent seventy Venator-class Star Destroyers and four Victory-class cruisers to attack the Separatist forces. The Separatists, suspecting the attack to be weak,put up only 109 O-G9 spider droids and 263 battle droids as resistance to the much larger and seasoned Republic forces.

The Republic, hearing of this, sent seventy Venator-class Star Destroyers and four Victory-class cruisers to attack the Separatist forces. The Separatists, suspecting the attack to be weak,put up only 109 O-G9 spider droids and 263 battle droids as resistance to the much larger and seasoned Republic forces. The Republic invasion began. The seventy-four warships sent fighter after fighter upon the Separatist forces. The bombardment was heavy. Only 252 droids made it as reinforcements. After the bombing, six-thousand LAAT gunships and Republic Dropships escorting Jadthu-class landers landed on the Separatist defenders' lines, destroying everything in their way and even overwhelming Separatist defenders 12 to 4. Outgunned,the Separatists called for reinforcements. But when the Republic knew of that, they even called for more reinforcements. Seventy-six Dreadnought-class heavy cruisers entered the system for reinforcements. General Anakin Skywalker and Commander Ahsoka Tano with two Acclamator-class assault ships and a CR90 corvette entered the system with more gunships. The Separatists, beleaguered and outgunned,prepared for one last stand against the combined forces of the Ewoks and the Republic. Two Core Ships were destroyed and the last one retreated. The Separatists were routed. They lost two droids, all spider droids, and lots of droids. Now that the Republic planets nearby were safe, the Republic didn't have to fear the Separatist base there.
