She insists that she was once just like them as the villagers tie her to a stake. The leader reminds her that they begged her for protection. As they prepare to set torches to attract creatures to consume her come nightfall, Alice and Cyrus arrive in order to save the Queen. However, they can not and the villagers decide that the young couple will know the same fate as Anastasia. That night, Alice and Cyrus are tied up next to the Queen. She thanks them for their help and says that they have to put out the torches which are drawing the creatures. As they try to kick out the torches, the Mome Raths gather on the edge of the woods and then advance. The prisoners manage to kick out most of the torches but the Mome Raths keep coming. The Queen realizes that the glow of Alice's necklace is attracting them. She manages to pull her hand free and throw it clear, and then free Cyrus and the Queen. Alice is reluctant to leave her treasured necklace behind, but Cyrus pulls her away. ("Nothing to Fear")
