Nicaea (/naɪˈsiːə/; Greek: Νίκαια), officially known as the Kingdom of Nicaea, is a constitutional monarchy and sovereign state located in Anatolia. It is bordered to the west by Constantinople, and to the east by Turkey and Armenia. It was founded after the Nicaean Revolution and shares a head of state with the Imperial State of Constantinople. As such, it is regarded by its muggle inhabitants as the rightful continuation of the Byzantine/Roman Empire. The political system and many institutions were inherited from the Byzantine (Roman) Empire, reinforcing the idea of a revived Roman Empire under a different name.
