The Takamagahara Wadatsumi Laboratory, commonly known as the Wadatsumi Laboratory, is a laboratory that formerly existed within New Yokozaki City, and was owned by Takamagahara. Officially, the laboratory was made to discover new energy sources, and develop a next generation energy, lending a plethora of local support for it's development. However, the true reason for it being built was so the T-system, and the Embryo to power it, could be developed. Ryōko Kagari was the head of the facility.

However, the true reason for it being built was so the T-system, and the Embryo to power it, could be developed. Ryōko Kagari was the head of the facility. After the Wadatsumi Mass Vanish Incident, the lab and the surrounding area, later known as the Restricted Ward, would be sealed off. Currently, the Mitsurugi Agency is in charge of the area, guarding it's toxic area from any public members, as well as preserving the area for unknown reasons. At the very bottom of the facility, lies a gate to the Boundary, providing an unlimited energy source for the laboratory. The aftermath of the incident meant that all animals and humans who entered the area would become sick, while plants simply could not grow within the surrounding area. Sōichirō Unomaru used the area as his base of operations in XBlaze – Code: Embryo. Inside, he harvested the Crystals of Drive-Union's who he had 'rescued'.
