Military Island was an island off the coast of Reislip, home to the Saturn 5 Army and Marine Corps. It was a huge base made out of metal, rubber and plastic. The soldiers there would be trained every day and could stay on the battlefield for up to six years without leave. Marines often became attached to their military careers. Over eighty percent of men on Saturn 5 worked in the Army, Air Force or Navy and most were killed on their first tour of duty. General R2 and Shade Laonash Kenobi, were both commanders and worked alongside Captain Katinski, who went through the MI training course when he joined up. Unlike nearby armies, Saturn 5's generals, commanders and commanding lieutenants would go through the training course with their men and so were built for the front line themselves.
