File:1988 AFD5 profile.png The AFD5 has a mahogany body with a quilted maple top bolted to a mahogany and maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual humbucking pickups, an HQ synchronized tremolo bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines. The pickups are listed variously as Ultrasonic Ref 6 or IBZ/USA F1. The AFD5SP is a similar model with a 3 ply bubinga and quilted maple top. The AFD5CT is a similar model with a set-in neck with Tree of Life fretboard inlay. The AFD25 is a related model with similar components but a different body shape. The AFD5 was produced only in 1988.
