Atton Y'nam was a former Imperial Moff. When the former Governor of the Clantosh system was killed in an accident, Atton was chosen to be the next Governor. He was not particularly competent, but as the Lugein sector was quite peaceful, he eventually managed to get himself promoted to sector Moff. Although he had some combat experience, Moff Y'nam forgot most of his military training and experience when the sector was left dull for years. When Erk Grekins finally became interested in the Clantosh system, Y'man quickly and quietly surrendered to the warlord Admiral.

He was not particularly competent, but as the Lugein sector was quite peaceful, he eventually managed to get himself promoted to sector Moff. Although he had some combat experience, Moff Y'nam forgot most of his military training and experience when the sector was left dull for years. When Erk Grekins finally became interested in the Clantosh system, Y'man quickly and quietly surrendered to the warlord Admiral. In exchange for giving Grekins control of the sector, the former Moff served for some time as Grekins's Treasurer-Overseer. When the Clantosh system was taken by the New Republic, Atton again surrendered, but this time he waited until the system was almost completely lost to his side. He soon retired to a civilian life back on his homeworld, and died of old age in 76 ABY.
