Jim C. Barnett (December 8, 1926 – July 26, 2013) was an American physician and politician. Born in Edinburg, Mississippi, he served in the United States Navy during World War II and a naval flight surgeon during the Korean War. He went to Millsaps College, Tulane University, and the University of Miississippi Medical School and then graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He was in family practice and surgery in Lincoln County, Mississippi and lived in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives 1992-2008. He died in Jackson, Mississippi.
