It is the 51st film in the Disney Animated Canon and the third film in the Disney Revival. Production began in late 2009, and the film was released on July 15, 2011, competing with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 3D on the same weekend. This was Huell Howser's only film participation before his death on January 6, 2013.
