Trivia
  • The JSA story has an one-panel flashback to All-Star Comics Vol 1 60, published in 1951. Senator O'Fallon was unnamed in this story, and was often assumed to be Joseph McCarthy or a stand-in, which was probably the original intent. America vs. the Justice Society Vol 1 1 established his identity retroactively and explained that in this Earth Joseph McCarthy died a few years earlier due to a car accident.

Synopsis
  • The Flash must learn the cause of the Weather Wizard’s inexplicably benevolent behavior.
  • The Huntress tells Power Girl the story of how the Justice Society originally disbanded in 1951 when they were asked to reveal their true identities before a Congressional hearing committee, and refused.
  • Aquaman is decoyed by a clone-Mera into a trap set by the Antarctic Nazis, during which he discovers Helga is still alive, only a clone of herself having been killed earlier. However, he is able to escape with the help of a mutant sea horse created by the Nazis, and defeats Helga and her aides.
  • Deadman inhabits the body of a pigeon to keep Abraham Gold from shooting himself. He is depressed because his son Jacob makes a living pushing drugs for mobster Mr. Caprice. After a confrontation with Abraham, his son finally decides to quit Caprice's gang and go straight. Deadman follows the son to Caprice's hideout. Meanwhile, unknown to Deadman and the son, Abraham has come to kill the gang leader. Deadman tries to prevent the old man from committing murder by inhabiting his body, but he gets him killed by Caprice's gunfire instead. Deadman then hops into the son's body, defeats the gang, and tells Caprice that the police will soon be there to arrest them all, because of the gunfire noise. Caprice commits suicide. Jacob Gold promises his dying father that he will serve his time in prison, and make a new life for himself and his daughter when he is released.
