An Invid capture ship was a large spider-shaped craft developed by the Invid which was used to capture disabled enemy starships. These rarely encountered Invid vessels were deployed onboard Station V-1 where they were used to capture any starships caught by the stations energy web surrounding the Valivarre system‏‎. The ship would take the Human vessel to the cavernous hanger of Station V-1 where its crew were held captive.

After the liberation of Tirol, Major John Carpenter of the Robotech Expeditionary Force took a vessel in order to warn Earth of the approach of the Robotech Masters. However, his ship would be caught by the Invid space stations space net and disabled whereupon it was taken captive by one of these vessels. Tirolian ambassador Trell commented that he had never seen a craft of this design before but traced its creators being the Invid. The ship would take the Human vessel to the cavernous hanger of Station V-1 where its crew were held captive.
