The Washington Crossing Killer was a serial killer case solved by the FBI at some point before 1993. A psychological profile on the killer, written by Agent Tom Colton, led the FBI straight to the suspect. As a result Colton was placed on the Violent Crime Section's fast-track to promotion, a fact which had impressed Dana Scully (TXF: "Squeeze").
