| - Hi, I'm Random Ranaun. I am an administrator over at The Sims Wiki. A few months ago, I started a new discussion proposing a merge between The Sims Wiki and The Sims Fanon Wiki. While it was generally supported, the proposal somehow morphed into a proposal to just create a Fanon Namespace. We just recently finished creating the Fanon Namespace, the Fanon Portal, the Fanon categories, and the Fanon templates. Now that all of that is created, a few users at TSW began to worry about the fate of this wiki, since our wiki gets much more visitors than this one, so another merge discussion was created. Since we now have a place to include Fanon at our Wiki, we would like to formally propose a merge between The Sims Wiki and The Sims Fanon Wiki, because I believe that a merge would be very benefic

Since we now have a place to include Fanon at our Wiki, we would like to formally propose a merge between The Sims Wiki and The Sims Fanon Wiki, because I believe that a merge would be very beneficial to both wikis. Here is a list of benefits that both wikis would receive by merging: 1.
* While The Sims Wiki will gain more than 1000 articles, the Fanon Wiki will also gain more articles, since we have much more visitors at our wiki. 2.
* Both wikis will gain more users; The Sims Wiki will gain most (if not all) of the users from the Fanon Wiki, and the Fanon Wiki will also gain users, because, as said above, The Sims Wiki gets more visitors each day. 3.
* Both wikis will most likely have more activity. 4.
* We will have a large and active community after merging, and both wikis will have much more traffic. 5.
* Both wikis will be more unified with each other, since I could tell from time to time that The Sims Wiki and The Sims Fanon Wiki hardly communicate. While this would mean a lot of work for all of our users, I believe that this would be a good move for us in the long run. Please reply and tell us what you think! -- Random Ranaun 06:07, February 21, 2011 (UTC) Support, Even though, at first I did not agree with this proposal, Sims wiki has now a fanon policy, which can destroy and eliminate Fanon wiki popularity, and I think we should get along and together since we are going to have going fanon articles, Sims fanon wiki function may become redundant, also win much more with merging the two wikis. I hope not to offend anyone here. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 21:33, February 21, 2011 (UTC) Support per my reasons on TSW. GG (t) • (c) • (b) 22:20, February 21, 2011 (UTC) Strong Support. This should be a good move, it will increase activity at The Sims Wiki. And a lot of users here can go over to TSW, continue making their Fanon, then edit the Canon articles there. I have high hopes for it.--♥DarthCookie♥ 23:10, February 21, 2011 (UTC) Strong Support. I have been asked to give my opinion, and I think it's a great idea, as long as we get to keep our pages. However the only problem is, I share my wikia pages on Youtube and if the website address will change that may be a problem. Other than that, its a great idea :)! --SNTMcentral 22:56, February 21, 2011 (UTC) Strong Support. I am wondering if we stay as admins if the merge occurs?
