Derek Laxdal (born February 21, 1966, in Stonewall, Manitoba) is a former professional ice hockey right winger. Currently, he is the head coach of the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings. He was the head coach of the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads, and he led that team to the Kelly Cup as ECHL champions in the 2006–07 season. He won the Memorial Cup in 1982-83 with the Portland Winter Hawks.
