Most sages believe there exists only one bow of this type. They are close to truth: only one out of half a dozen has ever left Quel'thalas, in the hands of Nathanos Morris (now Blightcaller). Bows of this type have been used for ceremonial purposes for over 1000 years, although it's barely more than a lifetime for an elf. Every 50 years the owner of such a bow would give it away to someone who aided Quel'thalas with some great deed, then the new owner would give the bow to another deserving hero.

Nanathos Marris received one such bow but got rid of it after his conversion into undeath. It has been lost and ended up in the hands of a foot soldier of the Stormwind army. The soldier was killed in the Southern Barrens conflict, after which the bow was recovered by the Convocation of Elrendar.
