  • A Birthday Surprise is a Sesame Street storybook which was recorded for the Big Bird StoryMagic set of talking toys in 1987. The performers were Caroll Spinney as Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, and Frank Oz as Cookie Monster. In this story, it's Snuffy's birthday, and Big Bird is planning a party! All of their friends are invited, but they have to keep it a secret in order to surprise Snuffy. Big Bird has many errands to complete in order to get all of the supplies for the party. Along the way, he meets many busy people in the neighborhood. There are two songs on the accompanying cassette tape, "Can You Keep a Secret", and "Snuffy's Birthday Cake", both written by Dave Conner.
