I wanted to make a Fighter / Weapon Master build as I had a lot of fun playing one in the original NWN. However, a lot of the enemies in Mask of The Betrayer are undead and therefore immune to critical attacks which makes a weapon master build less enticing. So I decided to balance out the build by adding a level of Cleric for Divine Vengeance, which adds +2d6 divine damage to all attacks against undead, and I polished the build off with levels in Frenzied Berserker, both for the extra attacks from Frenzy and the enhancement to power attack so I could artificially beef up my non-critical damage without having to pump too many points into raw ability scores. It makes for a pretty cool concept character.

abstract
  • I wanted to make a Fighter / Weapon Master build as I had a lot of fun playing one in the original NWN. This is partially for the dexterity bonus and partially for the favored class. With an Air Genasi, you can get both fighter and cleric levels while only having to worry about a +1 level penalty rather than class penalties. A drow is another race that would work well for the build, though the level penalties would be far steeper. Skills: Tumble to 10, spellcraft to 20, 4 points in intimidate for Weapon Master and the rest can be put wherever you like.
