- Umber was once a senior officer in the crew Viridian Guardians and a member of the flag Golden Angels. She began playing in late 2006 on the Hunter Ocean. She moved to Viridian, initially joining The Forsworn Pirates. Cambiata and Dirtydoug were two of her close hearties. This pirate no longer exists on the Viridian or Hunter Oceans. - Umber is a small, brown, male MudWing dragonet with pale amber eyes and a burnt patch on his nose. He is one of the six siblings of Clay, as well as the last-hatched dragonet of Cattail and a MudWing student at Jade Mountain Academy. He is a member of the Jade Winglet and was clawmates with Turtle. He is mentioned in the prologue of The Dark Secret and said to be the smallest and most observant of the siblings, as he notices a scavenger den deep in the woods during a frantic chase when the siblings escaped some IceWings.
- Umber is a level 55 quest giver located in Nighthaven in the contested territory of Moonglade. He is the Cenarion Circle's archivist and considered very brilliant by his night elf peers. See List of Moonglade NPCs.
- Umber was originally purchased as a BDSM hangout. After a fallout with the neighbors, some time passed. Umber was the home sim of Mistress Midnight. Many of her friends (who also happen to be generally good content creators) set up shop there, in a city-type environment called Midnight City. The sim went through a major rebuild/reterraform, as the old design was causing massive client lag (for which the Lindens were unable to fix). On 9 May 2005, Mistress Midnight announced that Umber was for sale. It was sold to Anshe Chung the next day.

- Umber is a natural brown clay pigment which contains iron and manganese oxides. The color becomes more intense when calcined (heated), and the resulting pigment is called burnt umber. The name derives from Umbria, a mountainous region of central Italy, but it is found in many parts of the world. Some of the finest umber comes from Cyprus. - After skating down a huge slide, the player must locate two glowing orbs and place them on their respective pillars. Once this objective is completed, Umber will come to life and walk into the lava filled pathway in front of him. He will stop after a moment, at this time the player must get onto his head by using Purple Lums. When on his head, Umber slowly treads through the lava towards the second Mask of Polokus, the player must leap from his head and onto the path in front whilst Umber sinks from veiw behind, into the lava.
