Obergefell v. Hodges is a 2015 Supreme Court of the United States case which resulted in the opinion that same sex marriages be recognized within the United States. From 2015 on even Red States will have to allow Gay marriage. Justices concurring in the opinion came from appointees of both parties, and included those commonly supposed to be both conservative and liberal.
