After killing three Blackguards and a Sith Apprentice, Darth Obscurus challenged him to a duel - a duel which Orrus quickly lost. Rather than killing him, Obscurus offered him the position as head of the Covenant Academy - a position de Sadd occupied until the formation of the Sith Enclave, after which he was transferred to the Lorn Academy as a trainer.
