Following Padmé's death in 19 BBY Marié succeeded her sister as Senator of Naboo, but this, however, was only temporary as she knew that her true path was that of a Jedi. After the Clone Wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire, She secretly married Obi-Wan Kenobi. Shortly before the Galactic Civil War, she fell ill due to deadly coomb spores. She used the Force to slow their progess, but the disease was only purged from her system aifter the birth of her daughter, Angel, in 19 ABY.
