Synopsis
  • A being known only as Lord Chaos marches into a New York office building and forces the company officers to relinquish full control of the facility over to him. After which, Chaos fires the company's entire staff. At S.T.A.R. Labs, the New Titans are still trying to understand the nature of this newly born baby Wildebeest. Pantha wants nothing more than to destroy it, but the baby proves strong enough to defend himself against her savage attack. Steve Dayton enters the room with a huge vat of milk. He hands the container to the creature who begins eagerly drinking from it. After which, he lets out a tremendous belch. Later, Dick keeps a close eye on Kory. She's been very detached ever since the "Titans Hunt" affair, and she is still recuperating from her injuries. Dick now realizes just how much he truly needs her. The young lovers do not realize that they are being spied upon by the mysterious Mirage. The other Titans go to check on Cyborg's progress. Changeling feels optimistic about his friend's slow recovery. Suddenly, Donna Troy takes ill and throws up all over the floor. As evening approaches, Dick goes to Titans Island. He still cannot believe that their old tower headquarters is gone forever. He discovers that Deathstroke is also on the island. Dick flies into a rage and attacks Deathstroke. He is sickened by the fact that this mad actually murdered his own son. The two swap a few blows but soon calm down. Slade confesses his guilt over killing Jericho, and insists that he had no other choice.
Notes
  • * This issue is a prologue to the upcoming "Total Chaos" saga. * Deathstroke was forced to kill his son Jericho in .
quotation
  • As for Joe, I can't think that I killed him. I have to believe I freed him. Otherwise I'd go mad.
