The following is a list of qualities from Tales of Graces. Qualities determine the stat bonuses received from equipment when dualizing. In the English localization, quality rank can be determined by the number of letters in their name, starting at 4 for Rank 1 and increasing by one letter until Rank 7 with 10 letters. When the special dualizing effect is activated, the quality of the equipment will not change. When a shard and equipment of equal quality are dualized, a quality of one rank higher is generally created, with a few exceptions where Rank 6 qualities are combined or can be generated, or Rank 5 qualities are combined.

When a lower quality rank shard is dualized into a higher quality rank equipment, the equipment's quality is lowered to that of the shard's and it will gain these bonuses. When a higher quality rank shard is dualized into a lower quality rank equipment, the equipment's quality will not change and it will gain bonuses equal to its current quality. Rank 6 qualities are treated in the same fashion where a higher bonus quality is considered a higher rank. The exception to these rules is if a Rank 7 quality can be created with this combination. Rank 7 qualities require a feature to be purchased in the Grade Shop and cannot be dualized on the first playthrough. All features that are exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game are highlighted with a gray background.
