Larayna Firewhisper is a young Sin'Dorei Mage. After the destruction of the Sunwell she found that her addiction allowed her to tap into arcane talents. It was something she had dreamed of, to be able to weave spells and summon the powers of the arcane at will. But due to her family's lack of money, was never able to enroll before the tragedy. With the rebuilding of Silvermoon, Larayna's Father managed to earn a better living and thus was able to fund his daughter's teachings. For the past three years, Larayna has been learning from her studies Silvermoon under the guidance of her tutors but has now struck out into the world in an attempt to learn more.

With the rebuilding of Silvermoon, Larayna's Father managed to earn a better living and thus was able to fund his daughter's teachings. For the past three years, Larayna has been learning from her studies Silvermoon under the guidance of her tutors but has now struck out into the world in an attempt to learn more. Larayna has steadily become reliant on her magical abilities and although she openly denies that fact, the truth is that she has. Ever since she was able to call upon the arcane, fire and most predominantly, frost, Lara had practiced magic without any guidance at all. Her initial skills were wild and unpredictable. But during a rather daring raid, she managed to steal a couple of tomes about magical basics from the Silvermoon Library. She still has these books. From them, she learnt how to refine her skills so that she started the academy with a leg up on the rest of her classmates. Larayna's magical talents and her reliance on them have formed what she is today. Larayna has the utmost confidence her abilities and is always seeking the push her limits and gain more power. But at the same time, she understands the discipline and focus needed to use such abilities. Rather than dull the playful edge she possesses, Larayna finds she controls her powers better when she is enjoying them and acting more instinctually. In this way, it has served to make her more playful, so much so that she can often be seen causing a flame to dance in the air or icy winds to swirl around her hands.
