In his major NASCAR career, Clark competed in thirteen Nationwide Series races, earning two top-tens and two poles. Clark's debut came during the 1987 season, when Clark raced at Oxford, the site of his historical East Series victory earlier in the year. It was an impressive day for Clark in the major series as well. He qualified on the pole position, led a ninety laps and ultimately recorded a lead-lap 6th place finish. Clark's next start would come during the 1988 season, when he again competed at Oxford. This time, Clark didn't have as much success as he had the year before, but it was still a good outing. Completing all but five laps in the race, Clark finished 15th. Clark returned to action during the 1989 season, upping his schedule to two races. He made his first career start at Nazareth to kick off his season, but lost his brakes near the halfway point of the race and finished in 29th. He improved later in the year in his first start at Richmond, showing in 18th. Clark uppoed his schedule more during the 1990 season, running four races to earn a career-best 54th place finish in the final points. He returned to Oxford for the first time in two years, but was still impressive at the track. He qualified 2nd, led nineteen laps in the race, and wound up finishing in 9th place. He also ran well for the rest of the year, showing 13th and 28th in a pair of races at Loudon and finishing up 20th at Dover. Clark competed in three more races during the 1991 season, but it would turn out to be a tough year for the driver. It sure started well, with Clark winning his second career pole with the top speed at Oxford once again. But he fell nearly five laps down in that race and finished 23rd. From there, broken rear end gears ended Clark's chances at both Loudon races, where he finished 42nd in both shows. Clark's final two series races came during the 1992 season. His tough start to the season continued, with Clark starting 4th at Nazareth but crashing out of the race early and finishing in 29th. But Clark salvaged a good finish to wind up his career, showing 17th at Loudon.
