Several of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels have been adapted into radio dramas since the mid-1950s. The first radio dramatisation of a Bond novel was Moonraker was broadcast on South African radio as early as 1956, with Bob Holness providing the voice of Bond. The BBC produced its first radio adaptation of a Fleming novel, You Only Live Twice in 1990. Michael Jayston starred as James Bond. An adaptation of Moonraker has been announced to be set for release sometime in 2018.
