Interrupt Moves, also known as Reversals, are a gameplay mechanic exclusive to the arcade version of Street Fighter: The Movie. To perform one, the player must press a direction and a button while they are blocking an attack. The button combinations are character specific. Interrupt Moves are similar to normal special attacks, except that they have a characteristic green shadow. They also have complete invincibility and can be used at any time. Similar mechanics appear in later games, such as Alpha Counter, Cross Cancel and V-Reversal.
