Chargeable Energy Balls are Dr. Cortex's clashed weapons in Crash Tag Team Racing. As a weapon, it is one of the harder weapons to use effectively as it requires the player to lead their shots more due to the weapons' grenade-like trajectory. The projectiles can, as the name suggests, be charged up by holding the fire button down, launching as soon as it is fully charged. This can make aiming for moving cars difficult but by no means impossible as it does have a decent sized blast radius to boot. On top of this, it is quite powerful, easily being able to dispatch of unclashed cars in 2 hits max assuming it's uncharged. When fully charged and at tier 3, it can destroy several cars simultainously, particularly in Rolling Thunder, as the cars clump up.
