| - The Österreichischer Wintersportclub (ÖWSC) was a club specializing in winter sports, situated in Vienna, Austria. Its hockey section was admitted into the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation in 1927. From 1927 to 1938, the hockey team participated in the various classifications of the Austrian Hockey Championship. They won Group B of the 2. Klasse in 1928 and were promoted to Group A the following year. After winning Group A, the club reached the top-level 1. Klasse in 1930. OWSC played three years in the top-level 1. Klasse before the championship was reorganized for the 1932-33 season, with regional competitions being created and the top teams advancing to the State Championship. The club initially found themselves playing in the 2.a Klasse of the Vienna Championship, which they promptly won and as a result were promoted to the 1. Klasse. In November 1934, the club changed its name to Österreichischer Wintersport Club-WAF (ÖWSC-WAF). It re-adopted its old name for the 1935-36 season. When the Liga was formed as the new top-level Viennese competition for 1935-36, OWSC remained in the 1. Klasse. They did however reach the Liga the following year, but lost all six of their games by a combined score of 62-0. The 1937-38 season, the final season before the German Anschluss, was spent in the 1. Klasse. In 1938-39, OWSC competed as a combined team with Wiener AC in the German regional Eastern District Championship.
