Warlord is a USAF pilot and Vietnam War veteran turned barbarian super-hero in the mystical land of Skartaris. Following a crash-landing of his plane at the North Pole while fleeing Russian airspace, he discovered an entrance to a lost world in the center of the Earth filled with magic, highly advanced technology and dinosaurs. He becomes a freedom fighter to liberate the inhabitants from tyranny, using only his sword, pure grit, and a .44 Magnum. His supporting cast includes his wife Tara Morgan, his daughter Jennifer Morgan, his son and later successor Tinder, and his closest friends Machiste and Shakira. Warlord was created by Mike Grell, first appearing in 1st Issue Special #8. (1975)
