Jim Whitman (January 19, 1937 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Paramus, NJ. He competed in five Nextel Cup Series events in his career. All of his races came in 1960, when Whitman debuted at Daytona, trying to make the Daytona 500. He completed all but two laps in route to a 21st place finish in the qualifier event and did in fact qualify for the Daytona 500. Engine failure in the 500 left him 47th and he finished 21st in the July event at Daytona as well. Whitman's final two races were his best however, finishing 19th at Montgomery and a career-best 16th at Darlington.
