- In Hindu mythos, Lakshmi (Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी, lakṣmī) is the goddess of beauty, good fortune and love and is the wife of Vishnu, one of the Trimurti. She is also one of the Tridevi, which consists of Lakshmi, Parvati (Shiva's wife) and Sarasvati (Brahma's wife). She is known in Japan as Kichijoten as an extra deity in the Seven Lucky Gods who sometimes replaces Jurojin. She was one of the things that rose from the oceans after the Churning of the Sea of Milk.
- Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, beauty, fertility and prosperity. She is the consort of Vishnu and, as such, forms one of the three Tridevi, with Saraswati and Parvati. She is a very popular goddess and is worshipped along with her husband. Her vahana (mount) is an elephant.
- Lakshmi is an esper obtained by defeating Chadarnook in Jidoor. Her summon, Alluring Embrace (Group Hug in the original SNES version), restores HP to the entire party. Her Spell Power is 34, and she costs 74 MP to summon. She teaches Cure (x25), Cura (x16), Curaga (x1), Regen (x20), Esuna (x20). At Level Up, she provides +2 boost to Stamina.

Der Kunstliebhaber Owzer gibt sie den Rückkehrern freiwillig, da er befürchtet, dass dieser Maginit ihm nur Ärger bereiten würde. Im Kampf setzt sie ihren speziellen Angriff "Verzauberung" ein. Dies bewirkt, dass die TP aller Charaktere geheilt werden und besitzt somit denselben Effekt wie "Engelsfeder" von der Esper Seraph.
- Lakshmi in Sanskrit is derived from its elemental form lakS, meaning "to perceive or observe". This is synonymous with lakṣya, meaning "aim" or "objective". The Hindu Sacred Texts Vedas call Mahalakshmi as Lakshyayidhi Lakshmihi which means she is the one who has the object and aim of uplifting mankind.
- Lakshmi is a street urchin living in the Terminus Systems. A brunette little girl almost ten years old with a distinctive Y scar over the right eye and an impoverished background, Lakshmi took to begging in the streets to survive. One day, she comes across two humans and asks them for credits. The woman, Miranda Lawson, doesn't give her anything, but her partner Jacob Taylor promises money in exchange for directions. Lakshmi warns the pair that the place they're going is a dangerous one: her cousin's family was abducted there to be enslaved.
