The Diamont were a species of silicon-based rock-people who hailed from Mondreus. For some reason they have disappeared from the galaxy. They appear to be able to naturally transform into rocky spheres called Dialanches, which they use to bound around quickly as well as defend against their foes. While their diet is unknown, it can be easily presumed to be some form of mineral consumption due to their silicon-based physiology. With this in mind, it's extremely unlikely that they could consume living food to sustain themselves Spire is believed to be the last of their race.

- Diamonts are species found in the Metroid series, notably (and only) found in the Nintendo DS video game Metroid Prime: Hunters. The only known Diamont is Spire, who happens to be the last member of the species. They are rock based creatures who have lava colored spikes jutting out of their backs. Just like Samus Aran can go into Morph Ball mode, Diamonts (or at least Spire), can go into a similar form known as Dialanche, which allows them to climb up walls via their spikes.
- The Diamont were an ancient silicon-based species that looked like rocks infused with diamonds, hence the name. For unknown reasons they went extinct, and the only remaining Diamont is Spire, a bounty hunter who appears in Metroid Prime Hunters. In fact, the reason that Spire seeks the "Ultimate Power" is because he wishes to learn about the fate of the Diamont species. Diamonts have the ability to curl up in big ball. This allows a quick escape or another way to run over their enemies.
